Subject :Exploring the Perception of Inclusivity, Social Support, and Mental Health Needs of TGNC Students

Hello, I am continuing to recruit for the study below. Thank you to all who forwarded the information on to your students in late November. I am hoping to have 15 to 20 additional students complete the survey and appreciate any assistance in sharing the information about the study.

My name is Amber Bennett and I am the Director of Counseling Services at Michigan Technological University. I am also completing my doctoral degree in clinical social work at the University of Pennsylvania. I can be emailed via email at [email protected] or [email protected] with any questions or concerns regarding this study.

The title of this research project is Exploring the Perception of Inclusivity, Social Support, and Mental Health Needs of Transgender and Gender Non-Binary College Students. The study is focused on better understanding transgender and gender non-binary students' perceptions and experiences on college and university campuses and how these impact their sense of well-being. Involvement in this research project includes completing an anonymous survey about campus experiences, social supports, and stressors that students may currently be feeling. The survey will take approximately 15 – 20 minutes to complete. Participants who complete the survey have an opportunity to enter into a raffle to win 1-of-5 $50 gift cards. Participants must be 18 years of age, enrolled full time as an undergraduate student at any 4-year university or college, and must identify as transgender or gender non-binary.

The survey may be reached by clicking on the following link: https://upenn.co1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_d40rv5c82r1ELIN

This study has been approved by the IRBs at Michigan Tech and the University of Pennsylvania. The survey will remain open until the end of January 2018. Thank you again for your support!
