The Department of Chemical Engineering at Kansas State University (K-State) invites applications for open faculty positions at any level. All research areas will be considered, but priority will be given to candidates who build upon existing strengths and opportunities in materials or processes that address the challenges of energy supply, pollution control, health, and research at the intersection of engineering and the bio-sciences. Outstanding candidates will be considered for several open endowed positions.
NOTE: The selected candidate can expect strong professional development opportunities including competitive salaries and start-up packages, and teaching and research mentoring to ensure a successful start to their careers or transition to Kansas State University. Several centers and multidisciplinary programs offer excellent opportunities to facilitate collaboration. Manhattan, Kansas has been selected as the future home of the National Bio and Agro-Defense Facility (NBAF). NBAF is being built adjacent to the K State Campus at a cost of over $1.25 billion and will provide research infrastructure to protect the country’s food supply and agricultural economy. NBAF is expected to provide research opportunities for faculty members (BSL-4, http://nbafinkansas.org). The existing Biosecurity Research Institute at Kansas State University (BSL-3, http://www.bri.ksu.edu/) complements NBAF.
