The Department of Modern Languages at Kansas State University invites applications for a Visiting Assistant professor of German for a one-year appointment, beginning in fall 2018. Generalist, with experience teaching beginner- and intermediate-level German language courses. Teach six courses over the academic year.

Minimum Requirements:
- ABD or Ph.D. in German.
- Near-native proficiency in German and English.
- Demonstrated ability to integrate literature and/or culture at all levels of language instruction.
- Interest in participating in extra-curricular activities to support recruitment and retention in the German program is expected.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Field of specialization is open; however, preference will be given to those candidates with an interest in teaching business German/German for the professions.
Other Requirements:
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States at the time of employment
