Position Summary:
Reporting to the Director of the Office of the Access and Diversity Center at Utah State University, the Program Coordinator implements collaborative programs that promote identity development and serves as a resource, advocate, and advisor for students of color, multicultural students, first-generation students, LGBTQA students, and nontraditional students. The Program Coordinator also assists with various projects that align with the mission/vision and strategic priorities of ADC, and the Division of Student Affairs.

Responsibilities:
Intercultural Programming:
- Coordinate collaborative programs that explore identity, with an emphasis on race/ethnicity/culture; address current events as they impact our multicultural communities; and recognize intersectionality. Programs may include: lecture series; panel discussions; discussion spaces for undergraduate students of color; a leadership development series for cultural student organizations; and new opportunities based on feedback from students, faculty, staff, community partners, as well as best practices.
- Track programming expenses and regularly assess program quality and impact.

Workshops/Trainings:
-Facilitate developmentally appropriate workshops/trainings on building inclusive communities, identity development, and other topics related to diversity and inclusion.
-Deliver educational presentations about our work.

Advising and Advocacy:
-Meet with individual students and student organization leaders who would like to brainstorm ideas, ask questions, or raise concerns; and reach out to students to help ADC maintain strong relationships across the University.
-Engage students in conversation about various topics, including identity development and exploration, navigating USU as a member of one or more marginalized identity groups, and approaches to change as it relates to systemic racism and oppression.
-Maintain knowledge of campus and community programs and resources, and work with ADC and Division of Student Affairs leadership to refer students to campus partners as appropriate.

Marketing:
-Coordinate marketing efforts for the office.
-Responsibilities may include designing flyers and brochures to highlight programs and resources, using email marketing systems, updating websites, creating engaging content for social media, writing stories and profiles, managing digital photos and videos, and exploring opportunities to raise the visibility of the office and promote engagement.
