Job Description
BASIC FUNCTION AND RESPONSIBILITY
To supervise and coordinate the operations of a residential life facility, including the programming, crisis management, and student disciplinary action.

CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES
  • Interpret, explain and enforce rules and regulations.
  • Select, train and supervise student staff.
  • Coordinate and prepare administrative reports.
  • Serve as crisis and security coordinator.
  • Coordinate learning environment initiatives in the residence halls.
  • Interact, counsel and advise students and student governments.
  • Conduct disciplinary hearings and determine appropriate action.
  • Provide facilities oversight.
  • Participate on departmental committees.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED
Supervision is received from the Associate Director, Residential Life.

SUPERVISION EXERCISED
Supervision is exercised over student and graduate staff.

Minimum Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 3 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.

Preferred Qualifications
A Master’s degree in counseling, higher education, student personnel social work, or related fields is preferred.

Experience living in a residence hall, including residence hall staff experience and/or working with summer conference programs is necessary.

Salary
$47,476 annually

(This position includes a room and board package worth $13,198)
