Qualifications:
Successful candidate must have the following credentials at the effective date of appointment:
1. Education: A research doctoral degree from an AACSB-accredited institution in accounting. Applicants with a research doctoral degree from an AACSB-accredited institution in a non-accounting field must have a CPA licensure and have scholarly publications in the accounting field;
2. Publications: Successful candidate must meet the criterion for “Scholarly Academic” under the AACSB’s accreditation requirement and have a demonstrated recent engagement activities involving substantive scholarly activities in their field of accounting. 3. Commitment to diversity: Candidates must demonstrate commitment and ability to work with students and colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
4. At time of appointment, the successful candidate, if not a U.S. citizen, must have authorization from the Bureau of Citizenship and Immigration Services to work in the United States.

While not required, the following credentials are preferred:
1. Professional Credentials: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or related credentials
2. Technological proficiency: Demonstrated mastery of advanced features in Excel in the practice of accounting, as well as experience working with data analytics.
3. Work Experience: Accounting professional work experience that is substantial in terms of duration and level of responsibility.
4. Teaching experience in accounting.
Preference will be given to those candidates with an expertise and/or experiences in audit, but all areas, including financial/managerial accounting, are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities:
Teach courses in the undergraduate and graduate programs in audit and/or financial accounting. Integrate to the learning environment a strong emphasis of emerging technological skills, including advanced Excel and data analytics. Employ a variety of effective pedagogies in class, including the use of simulation and case studies in accounting. Provide ongoing service to the department, college and university. Consult and work with students and colleagues from diverse backgrounds. Engage in an ongoing program of scholarship in accounting and maintain the criterion for “Scholarly Academic” under AACSB’s accreditation requirement.
