Exciting career opportunity working in a multidisciplinary, comprehensive University Student Health Service. The successful candidate will work under UCSB Standardized Procedures in a collaborative and collegial relationship with physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants and other clinical staff at UCSB Student Health. Responsibilities include evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of acute illnesses and injuries, common chronic health conditions; assessment, management and/or referral of primary mental health conditions, routine gynecologic care, physical examinations, prescribing medications under the legal scope of practice and arranging follow up care and referrals as indicated.

Requirements: Must have at least 2 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner in a primary care setting.

Desired: LGBTQ & transgender healthcare skills. Bilingual Mandarin Language skills preferred.Experience with a college age population.

Student Health requires that clinical staff must successfully complete and pass the background check and credentialing process before the employment start date. All Nurse Practitioners must have current a California Nursing and Nurse Practitioner license, California Furnishing License (DEA registration schedules 2-5 desired) at all times during employment in order to practice and function in their clinical role.

Any HIPAA or FERPA violation is subject to disciplinary action.

This is a 10 or 11 month partial year career 100% position (8 hours per day). Furlough is taken during school quarter breaks and the summer months. Works hours as assigned, which may include occasional evening hours. Student Health is closed between the Christmas and New Year's Day holidays. Salary commensurate with experience.
