Job Summary:
The Executive Director/Director of Admission provides strategic leadership and vision to the Office of Admission to enable the University to attract, recruit
and enroll undergraduate students. Reporting to the Vice President for Enrollment Management, the individual will lead a team of 13 staff members and implement an efficient, proactive, collaborative, team based recruitment function. The Executive Director/Director is a highly visible and effective spokesperson for the University and must articulate the benefits and values of the campus community to a variety of constituents. The Executive Director/Director has lead responsibility for developing and implementing the University’s recruitment plan, overseeing its successful execution, and monitoring and assessing the plan to ensure the University meets its stated enrollment goals in support of the strategic plan.

Primary Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement an innovative, proactive and strategic approach to new student recruitment and enrollment efforts by overseeing the overall operation of the Office of Admission.
2. Provide supervisory oversight, leadership and direction to the Office of Admission and its team members by cultivating and developing talented team members by managing all functions including the hiring, training, on-boarding, performance management and professional development of the staff.
3. Provide oversight and chair the admission application review and evaluation process for first-year, transfer and international applicants by aligning the file review
process with the best practice models for holistic admission.
4. In collaboration with the Vice President for Enrollment Management and Director of Financial Aid, internally develop, oversee and assess strategic financial aid
allocation and its impact on recruitment/enrollment trends.
5. Collaborate with Marketing and Communications on all recruitment marketing activities and initiatives including the development of recruitment publications, enrollment communications, social media activities, admission websites, etc.
6. Collaborate with other offices on campus, Marketing and Communications, Financial Aid,Residence Life, Registrar, Student Success, and Athletics to serve the needs of prospective students.
7. Develop and monitor statistical reports to enhance recruitment and enrollment strategies, yield management, predictive modeling and operational effectiveness.
8. Develop an in-depth knowledge about DelVal, the academic and extracurricular programs and articulate these messages to prospective students, families, guidance counselors and the community.
9. Strategically and responsibly manage the budget dollars assigned to the Office of Admission.
10. Represent Delaware Valley University at college fairs, high schools, and other off-campus events.
11. Build relationships with parents, guidance counselors, and DelVal academic departments and other constituents of the Admission Office.
12. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
· Knowledgeable about the best practices and emerging trends in student recruitment, enrollment management and emerging trends in higher education
· Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to speak publicly and communicate effectively

· Demonstrated commitment to diversity and inclusion

· Ability to work as part of a team and also work independently without supervision
· Ability to work with students, parents, college staff and administrators, faculty
· Ability and willingness for overnight travel
· Willingness to work evenings and weekends as needed
· Proficient and knowledgeable in the usage of computer based programs, recruitment CRM systems, admission management data programs, Microsoft Office products, and other technologies

Required education/experience/license:
· Minimum 10 years of recruitment/enrollment experience with at least 5 years of increasing responsibility and management/leadership experience
· Master’s degree from an accredited college/university
· Valid Driver’s License

Working Conditions/Frequently Used Tools:
· Office or computer room
· Alternative Work Schedules
· Typically sitting at a desk or table
· Travel (<200 mi/month) during the peak recruitment seasons of September –November/March - May
· Occasional lifting 50 lbs. or less
