Reporting the Senior Director of Ethnic and Intercultural Services, this position provides specific programming and services for Black students that nurture the education of the whole person (intellectual, social, interpersonal, spiritual, and civic responsibility) in an intercultural campus community. This position also collaborates with faculty in African American Studies, and staff in Ethnic and Intercultural Services Department offices, other Student Affairs departments and Academic Affairs to administer ethnic and intercultural student development programs for the entire LMU community, including biracial and multiracial students. Central to all innovative programs, projects and events, is the value of developing leadership skills among students, as well as providing greater access to resources, and increasing retention and persistence to graduation.
